Finding Images In Academic Search CompleteAcademic Search Complete contains articles with images from scholarly and popular publications. Images may include photos (color or black & white), illustrations, graphs, charts, tables, time lines and maps. This database includes images from United Press International (UPI) news agency. Academic Search Complete allows you to search for articles with images and just images with captions. 1) Finding Articles with Images ![]()
This will only return results that have images along with the articles. The results page will indicate the quantity and type of images included in the article. ![]()
In most cases, you will have several options for viewing the article and images. To view the image, select either HTML Full Text or PDF Full Text. The image and text will appear with both options. The PDF option will download the article and image exactly as it appeared in the publication -- this may be important in determining the context in which the image was used. ![]()
2) Finding Images and Captions To access the Image Collection, mouse over the More toolbar. A drop down menu will appear; choose the Images option. ![]()
You can narrow down your results by image type, and also filter by publication date to only get the most recently published images. ![]()
